Don't get me started on the music industry

Its a dirty, dirty business.

But this quote (from news.com.au) made me mad

“We are really committed to protecting the rights of Australian musicians," MIPI general manager Sabine Heindl told news.com.au.

Don't they mean "protecting the rights of international record label conglomerates" - the people who pay their bills?

If they were interested in musicians, surely they would be trying to stop the evil done to artists by the labels - such as predatory recording contracts and unfair recoupment.
