Lawyers...

Lawyers really give themselves a bad name. From http://www.smh.com.au/national/ombudsman-to-go-ahead-despite-law-societies-protest-20100120-mlsx.html
Only lawyers have the expertise to investigate other lawyers for alleged misconduct, their professional associations say, and they have asked the Federal Government to reconsider its plan for a national ombudsman to regulate the profession.
That right. And only politicians should be able to regulate and set pay on politicans. And only doctors shold be able to investigate other doctors. And only business executives should be able to set their renumeration. Don't forget publicians, plumbers or prostitutes!

No single industry or profession should set all their own rules and obligations without oversite. To do otherwise invites corruption, cronism and inefficiency. Every profession should be held to standards in line with the overall wellbeing of the community, judged by impartial - and therefore external - regulators.
